Dr. Bobs Adventure

We've created this blog for several reasons. First is to keep family and friends(including Bobs' pts.)informed of Bobs' condition while he undergoes treatment for Acute Myelogenous Leukemia(AML) at HUP. You may also write to Bob by posting a comment, which I'll print for him to read. Please feel free to pass this blog site on to anyone you think may want to join us.Instructions to blog are listed under day 12, and bobs' address etc are under day 14. Click on April Archives to find both.

Hello Uncle Bob and Aunt Maureen!
Just thought I'd write a quick note to say hello! Sorry to hear about the boredom problem...I've been a little bored myself, Bob, I think I've watched the entire Law and Order series in the past few days: )
The important thing, of course, is that you are doing good. I'm so glad to hear that, and really hope I'll be making a visit to see you soon! Maybe we can watch Law and Order together, then...
NOt too much new here, for me. Its been great being home, so far. Although not hvaing a job is starting to eat away at me. I just am not willing to sell my soul to another restuarant, you know.?Especially since I'm only home for two months and then will basically be gone for three years!
I'm so excited about getting to school. I just registered for my classes and got a role in our first show, Amadeus. Its wan't the role i originally wanted, but I think its going to be more of a challenge, which I guess is what grad school is all about. I think the fam and my friends are even more excited that im going to vegas...it gives them a good excuse to come out and throw away their money!
As always, you are both in my thoughts. I hope the rest of the time flies by...and before we know it, we'll all be at Millie's chowing down on some of Moe's cookies!
Hope to see you both soon,
Love you!
Katie

Yeah. Boring is good with this one. If you need some entertainment, let us know. We have a fairly extensive video library and can often get other interesting things. We will be posting more upcoming wedding pics soon.

Love you, Dad!

Hi Bob and Mo,
Just a quick hello to say I love ya both. Right now off to take mom out to lunch. It is really the only thing she enjoys doing anymore. Gotta love her she really does not care a bit about my waist line !!!
Looking forward to tomorrow Bob, maybe we can find a cooking show to watch together, we will know the boredom is beyond help if you resort to the daytime soaps.
Let me know if you want me to bring anything. In the meantime, love and prayers,
Anne

Uncle Bob,

At your house right now waiting for Reen and them for Kate's birthday dinner. I heard all about your portion control size dinners. 1 pear and crumbs is a slice of pie? Just kidding. Hopefully I'll get down to visit you this weekend. I told Reen I would help her with a 'yard sale' on Saturday if the weather holds up.

Hello Dr. Mazzola. Been thinking about you and hope things continue in the right direction. Not much to report here. I am off to Seattle for a very long weekend for a family wedding.

Let me know if you would like access to my on line Cooks Illustrated subscription. I can send you the password.

Prayers send to you. I will check in when I return. Hope to get some good seafood - salmon in Seattle.

Hi Dr. Bob!

Glad to hear that things are going well for you. Keep up the good work on the bike and keep the spirits up. I have all my energy back and feel great. CT scan, CA-125, and colonoscopy all normal - thank God! Bobby said to say hello. Take care - Joanne
